ABOUT ME

I’m a DELTA qualified freelance ELT published writer and teacher trainer who has worked in the ELT industry since 2010. Based in the UK, I specialise in exam, digital and adult teaching/learning materials.

My wonderful adventure in the English Language Teaching world began in December 2009, when I completed my Cert.Tesol course in London. A few months later, I went to Prague, in the Czech Republic, for my first teaching post. After that, I went on to teach in Bergamo, in the north of Italy, and then in London and Cambridge, where I completed my Delta course.

For almost ten years, I taught a wide variety of students encompassing diverse backgrounds, different age groups – from young learners to adults, and a range of levels - from beginners to advanced. I had the opportunity to teach one-to-one, mono and multilingual classes, IELTS and Cambridge exam preparation courses, as well as EAP and Business classes.

In London, I was lucky enough to work with an excellent tutor, who guided me in becoming a Trinity Tesol teacher trainer. I truly believe that’s when I fell in love with materials and content writing. As a Senior Teacher, both in London and Cambridge, I had the privilege of designing and delivering teacher training courses, CPDs, and a webinar for EF Language Schools. Bitten by the writing bug, I started researching and writing about ELT-related topics. My notes and thoughts developed into published articles.

What planted the seed of a writing career was my brief but intense role as a freelance consultant for Cambridge Assessment International Education. In the projects I worked on, I was responsible for content/cultural appropriacy and relevance of the topics and learning objectives.

I now write ELT materials and content (digital and print) for a range of UK and international clients.
